THE ONE WAY ANCHOR VISE WORKS LIKE A ZIP TIE, ALLOWING WIRES TO RUN THROUGH ONE WAY, BUT CATCHING THEM BEFORE SLIDING BACK THE OTHER DIRECTION. IT'S USEFUL FOR GRAPE TRELLISES, BUT IS EQUALLY HIGH QUALITY WHEN RUNNING WIRE FENCING. ITS STRENGTH AND RELIABILITY ARE PARAMOUNT, AND THE ONE WAY ANCHOR VISE DELIVERS.

USE THIS ONE WAY ANCHOR VISE FOR:

-Horse Fencing

-Grape Trellis Systems

-Garden Systems

YOUR SIZE CHOICE OF:

-8, 9, 10, and 11 gauge wire

-12.5 gauge wire

-14.5 - 16 gauge wire

Wire passes through one end of the vise but will not release, holding your wire in place to your posts. Comes 10 per pack.

GREAT FOR USE AS A WIRE VISE IN GRAPE TRELLISES AND SIMILAR APPLICATIONS:

PERFECT FOR ANCHORING ALL TYPES OF LINE FENCING:

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS & DETAILS:

Installation of the one-way vice requires that you drill a hole through your post, insert the lines fencing or wire, and thread it through the wire vise on the other side. Once pulled through, the anchor vise prevents slippage and allows for tightening. Once the vise is placed and the line/wire inserted, the vise needs to be anchored to the post using the two screw holes on either corner of the vise's flat, square surface.

Once installed, you will want to stretch your line to the proper tension. For use in fencing applications a ratchet tensioner may be required to obtain optimal tension levels. For use in a grape trellis or similar constructions, you may be able to tighten the wire by hand.

Also known as a wire vise, wire vice, anchor vise, anchor vice.

Please note that most fencing applications require tensioning from both ends of the fence line.

Note: Using anchor vises and through-post line installation can lead to lines rubbing and wearing against the post. To reduce this possibility, include an electric line along the top of your fence line which will prevent leaning, cribbing, and other activities which cause the line-post abrasion.

These worked out great for securing and tightening our grape trellises with 12 gauge wire. The reason for 4 stars is because they do not include the screws to secure them.

These little trellis anchors are great! I had a slight problem because I used 9 gauge plastic coated wire and had to strip the plastic off because it became jammed. Use uncoated wire and the vises will work great.

Very clever way to anchor grape trellis wire to a post, but without the proper tool the wire can't be tightened or loosened but does work. I have since adapted it to the Mittleider gardening method for overhead plant support.

This is a simple design but does exactly what is is supposed to do. It holds a nice, tight, grape vine wire!

I installed these into 4x4 posts a few weeks back. They are easy to use, but, you need to be careful when inserting the wire. The end of the wire can catch the spring mechanism and not go through. If you're careful and don't force the wire, it should slip right through. tip: insert the wire through the hold in your post first, then slip the wire vise onto the wire and snug it up after the wire is in the vise. So far they seem to hold well, but, it's only been a few weeks. My only complaint is they are a bit pricey.

I needed to devise a trellis for my 25 foot row of raspberries that were going 'wild' and quickly getting out of control in the backyard. When I began tightening up the galvanized wire, I noticed that one of my end supporting poles was bending inward as I hadn't cemented it in the ground far enough. Ok, I then had to clip the wire at one end to dismantle the trellis until I could buy and put another pole a full 3' in the ground. Thankfully I left enough extra wire on each trellis wire to have enough to do this. When the new pole was planted firmly in the ground, I then ran all of the wire back into place and found that one (out of the eight "One Way Anchors" malfunctioned and wouldn't hold the wire second time around. I had ordered two extras so I had to replace one of them, otherwise I would have given this product 5 stars. I still believe that it's an excellent anchor 'IF' you get everything right the first time around and have your trellis poles deep into the ground and able to withstand the necessary pressure of tightening up the wire. Yes, I will buy these again when my raspberry crop expands.

Built trellis and put five 9 gauge steel lines between the two ends. I always wondered how one can stretch the line and keep it tight. When I found these online decide to try them and they work well, they have been in place for 3 month already.
